Did you eye the Banner Plant Tiger?
The Rugby league fans in our company may have spotted our very own Phil James on the homepage of BBC Sport last Saturday.
Banner Plant’s Rotherham Access Manager, who supports the Castleford Tigers, was at Old Trafford to watch his team take on Leeds Rhinos in the Betfred Super League Grand Final.
During the build-up to the game, Phil and his friends managed to be photographed by one of the BBC journalists, who must have thought his tiger skin suit (See to the right) was headline material! Despite this early success the Castleford Tigers suffered quite a heavy defeat in the final and ended up runners-up of the competition.
Despite the final result, it was still a great atmosphere at Old Trafford with both sets of supporters really enjoying the occasion… before kick off! However, one happy memory from the day was the photo of me and my friends appearing on the homepage of BBC Sport.
